Our vision is to help realize the ideal of sustainable relationships among people, our livelihoods, and the environment in Northern Colorado.
Our mission is to provide a forum for grassroots organizations to coordinate their efforts to build a sustainable regional community.
We believe that sustainable communities:
- Satisfy the majority of their needs for food and consumer goods through local production,
- Strive to meet all of their energy needs with renewable resources,
- Use land, water, and other resources as efficiently and wisely as possible,
- Operate according to democratic and egalitarian principles,
- Enable all of their members to thrive economically, socially, and culturally, and
- Do not compromise the welfare of future generations.
